The World Cup 2022 is scheduled for mid-November to mid-December this year. A territory-wide anti-gambling publicity campaign "Be the Wise Man of the Match!" will be held to raise the public awareness of gambling-related problems. This campaign, organised by The Ping Wo Fund and Home and Youth Affairs Bureau, will run during the World Cup period.
The campaign aims to publicise the harm of addiction to gambling and share the fun and joy of playing football with members of the public. It consists of a range of district-level and territory-wide events and publicity activities, including roving exhibitions, "Say no to football gambling" carnival, football fun day, the Ping Wo Fund mascot design competition, outreaching activities of the publicity truck, etc.
