Hoping to encourage the public to experience the joy of playing football and say no to gambling, the Ping Wo Fund and Home Affairs Bureau have organised the event of attempting to create the Guinness World Record™ of “The Most People Passing a Football”. Over 1,200 participants showed up despite the poor weather in the morning of the event day. Witnessed by the Guinness World Record adjudicator and well-acclaimed athletes, the participants were able to break the Guinness Record with just one attempt. The event also invited the ambassador of the “Enjoy the Game, Say No to Gambling Campaign”, Sin Lap Man (Pal Gor), football star Leslie George Santos, and popular football coach Chan Yuen Ting to promote no gambling to the public.
